Martin is a Senior Manager in AEQUITA’s Operations Team. Together with the team, he is responsible for the restructuring and transformation of portfolio companies, with a focus on operational and commercial excellence and the further development of production facilities. Particular emphasis is placed on improving the cost position, energy efficiency and maximising synergies.
Before joining AEQUITA, Martin spent nine years in various roles at BASF SE, most recently as European Business and Product Manager within the olefins value chain. Prior to that, as Project Operations Manager, he led programmes aimed at cost optimisation, efficiency improvements and the sustainable transformation of large-scale, energy-intensive chemical processes.
Martin studied mechanical and process engineering at RWTH Aachen University and obtained his PhD in process and engineering technology at the Technical University of Munich.
